SOESILADEEPAKIUS RETROVERSUS View in CoL SP. NOV.

( FIGS 16–18 View Figure 16–18 , 48 View Figure 47–52 )

Type: Holotype: male from Porto Urucu , Rio Urucu, Coari, Amazonas, Brazil, coordinates -4.895139, -65.188389, 21.-24.vii.2003, A.B. Bonaldo et al., deposited in MPEG 11382. GoogleMaps

Etymology: The specific epithet, to be treated as an adjective, refers to the shape of the distal tegular apophysis, which points retrolaterally ( Fig. 17 View Figure 16–18 ).

Diagnosis: This species is similar to S. lyra sp. nov. in the long RTA and short embolus, from which it can be distinguished by having a stouter embolus and a distal tegular apophysis pointing retrolaterally (see Figs 10–11 View Figure 10–15 , 16–18 View Figure 16–18 ).

Description: Male (MPEG 11382). Total length: 3.13. Carapace light brown, 1.59 long, 1.17 wide, 0.67 high. Ocular quadrangle 0.86 long. Anterior eye row 1.17 wide, posterior 1.03 wide. Clypeus densely covered with white long scales. Chelicera yellow. Palp dark brown. Palpal femur with ventral longitudinal keel, more developed on the proximal portion ( Fig. 48 View Figure 47–52 ). Palpal tibia with a small ventral apophysis, a prolateral projection, and a very long RTA reaching almost two thirds of the cymbium length ( Figs 17–18 View Figure 16–18 ). Cymbium with prolateral proximal projection. Tegulum with a posterior acute ending, slightly curved dorsally, a small prolateral proximal acute apophysis, and a curved, dark median apophysis (?), pointing retrolaterally ( Figs 16–18 View Figure 16–18 ); sperm duct with a wide loop before entering the embolus ( Fig. 17 View Figure 16–18 ); embolus short and very stout at distal portion ( Fig. 17 View Figure 16–18 ). Endite, labium, and sternum yellow. Legs yellow (both legs I and II absent). Abdomen as in S. lyra sp. nov. Spinnerets yellow, variegated with dark brown.
