TYPE SPECIES: Tachina pellucens Fallén, 1820 (as “ Tachina Pellucens Mgn. ”), by original designation. CURRENT STATUS: Valid genus [ teste Herting & Dely-Draskovits (1993: 400) ]. FAMILY: TACHINIDAE . REMARKS: Early occurrences of the spelling Heliozeta are provided by Karsch (1884: 470) and Pandellé
(1894: 96), but criteria for making this name available as an emendation were not found to be fulfilled in these works. EMENDATIONS: Heliozeta Bezzi & Stein,1907: 572 (unjustified).
