Diagnosis. Size. Length, male, 2.89–3.54mm; female, 2.92–3.88mm. Width, male, 1.57–1.88mm; female, 1.52–2.02mm. Eyes moderately separated in dorsal view. Pronotum weakly cordate, with vestiture dense, appressed, plumose, concentrated laterally and in two paramedian longitudinal bands; punctures distinct, moderately large and deep. Elytra with scales appressed, short, linearly arranged along intervals, scales of strial regions slightly shorter and finer, but distinct. Posterolateral area of elytra with series of 3–6 contiguous punctures. Aedeagus as in Fig. 178 View FIGURES 178–180 .

Geographical distribution. México (Chiapas).

Natural history. Collected from berlese extraction of cloud forest and wet oak forest leaf litter at elevations ranging from 2650–2750m.

Derivation of specific name. Noun in apposition; named after Cerro Huitepec.
