Notes

Urochloa subquadripara is probably native to tropical Asia and Australia. It has been introduced into the tropics worldwide and naturalised in many parts of them, often as an undesirable weed. It was recently reported for the first time from the Canary Islands. In La Palma, the species is naturalised very locally in an irrigated lawn ( Otto and Verloove 2020).

In December 2018, it was found as a weed in an ornamental plantation in Palm-Mar in Tenerife.
