Global distribution: NT, PA.

Argentinian distribution: Buenos Aires.

Ecology: This species was recorded from temporary and shallow environments. It occurred particularly in alkaline (pH: 8.6) and well-oxygenated (11.4 mg /l) waters, with 1010 mg /l of total dissolved solids.
