Comments. This species was described based only one female collected in Waterberg Guest Farm Namibia, Otjiwarongo ( Namibia) in July–August 1912 ( Enderlein, 1914). According to Townes & Townes (1973) the holotype female is lost. No additional material was found.

According to original description ( Enderlein, 1914) Xorides serratitibia is characterized by the combination of the following characters: head and antenna rusty-red, except flagellomeres 8–11 whitish; meosoma rusty-red; mesoscutum with longitudinal black stripe, densely punctate, notauli weak; legs generally reddish, coxae and femora darker; wings hyaline, fore wing with vein cu-a basad of Rs&M, with two vertical brownish stripes; metasoma generally brownish-black with tergites apically banded with yellow.
