Eight out of the ten specimens collected showed ocular spots. Mean body size was 938 μm (SD 127), range 594 to 1628 μm. The species has been cited for Europe, Asia, America , Africa and the Arctic. This is the first record for the Iberian Peninsula ( Table 2 ). Platicrista angustata appeared at six sampling points (Table 3) from LF and MR samples.
