Diagnosis.
M

is distinguished from the species in the species group
niponensis
by the silent phases between two neighboring song units (
Fig. 1k
). The species is distributed in South
China
(only in
Yunnan Province
).
Etymology.
The species name indicates that it sings in a crecendo.
