Diagnosis . Small in size (length <550), dorsal furrow without glandularia or platelets, P5 very slender, terminal seta of IV-leg-6 longer than segment. Description . Female: Colour brownish, idiosoma 526 (502–527) long, 227 (219–239–251) wide and 296 (284–292) high. Dorsal furrow without glandularia or platelets. Tips of Cx-I with two stout curved setae, one short and one long. Coxal surface with a punctate pattern, near anterior margin reticulated. Genital field with three pairs of acetabula, anterior pair long and narrow, central and posterior pair gradually shorter. Posterior of genital field lies the excretory pore, but not visible in ventral view. Length/height of P1-P5: 26/18, 33/18, 32/20, 41/16 , 22/6. P3 with two long anterodorsal setae, P5 very slender. Length of IV-leg-5–6: 56, 60; terminal seta of IV-leg-6, 94 long. Male: In all aspects similar to female. Idiosoma 494 long and 263 high. Etymology . Named for its brown colour. Remarks . The new species is closest to Oxus lewisi ( Wiles, 1999 ) , known from Brunei . With a length of 827, O. lewisi is much larger, with larger palp and leg segments and the terminal seta of IV-leg-6 equal in length to segment. Distribution. Borneo.
