Diagnosis. This new species is very similar to A. patulella Walker in superficial characters, but it can be distinguished by the weakly developed brownish costal patch and the discal streak in discal cell, with a long hair pencil on underside of forewing basally, and the hindwing with broad anterior expansion extended to beyond middle, then abruptly truncate, whereas it is gradually oblique to 2/5 of costa in the latter. The male genitalia are hardly distinguishable from those of A. tortuosa (Meyrick) which is known in Sri Lanka and Japan (Ryukyus), but can be distinguished by the slender, long uncus; basal process on the left valva strongly curved before middle, then nearly straight distally; and the abdominal sternite VIII rounded, not tapered caudally and without deep concave as in A. tortuosa . The male genitalia also resemble those of A. reciproca Meyrick, 1920 described from South India , but it is easily distinguished by the broad tegumen of the latter. Description. Adult: Male ( Figs. 7 , 28 ). Wingspan, 10.5 mm. Head grayish white, speckled with pale grayish orange scales dorsally. Antenna about 3/4 the length of forewing; flagellum with brownish annulations. Second segment of labial palpus in male ( Fig. 28 ) subtriangular, with long scale tuft antero-ventrally; apex truncate, slightly longer than width of head, densely covered with dark brown scales on outer surface, except pale grayish white along upper 1/3; creamy to orange white on inner surface, same in color with dorsal surface of head, with blackish scales along anterior margin. Thorax same in color with head. Forewing elongate; ground color pale grayish white, brownish scales scattered irregularly; costa slightly convex before 2/5, then oblique beyond 3/4; costal patch large, trapezoidal, dark brown near middle; markings similar to those of the following new species, A. porthmista sp. nov. ; pterostigma extended from base to end of R1; cell elongated to 2/3 length of wing; venation with R1 arising from near middle; distance between R1-R2 at base about 1.5 times that of R2-R3; R3 near upper corner of cell; R4 and R5 stalked before middle; R5 to costa; M1 stalked with R4+R5; M2 and M3 nearly parallel; CuA1 free, arising from before lower corner of cell; distance CuA2-CuA1 at base longer than twice that of M3-CuA1; apex more or less acute; termen oblique; fringe concolorous with ground color of wing. Hindwing grayish, anterior expansion on costa extended to 3/5, abruptly truncated, then straight to apex; apex narrowly protruded; venation ( Fig. 21 ) with Rs running close to costa; Rs and M1 stalked; M2 far from M3 basally, M3 and CuA1 connate. Male genitalia ( Figs. 47, 47 a): Abdominal sternite VIII rounded on caudal margin. Uncus slender, with triangularly expanded apical part, exceeding apices of Socius; Socius slender in basal half, then dropped anteriorly, with roundly expanded distal portion. Tegumen + uncus as long as valva. Left valva broad basally, semiovate, narrowed towards apex, with a small triangular membranous flap near 2/3; sclerotized basal process slender, strongly curved at basal 1/3; zone of palmately modified scales small in distal end. Right valva narrower than left one, with a larger triangular membranous flap near 2/3, patch of palmately modified scales similar to that of left valva. Phallus as long as 3/5 of left valva, strongly bent at basal 1/4, then tapered. Female genitalia ( Fig. 61 ). Apophyses posteriores about 1.5 times of papillae anales in length. Ostium funnelshaped, with concave caudal margin, sclerotized. Ductus bursae broad, smoothly connected with corpus bursae, without conjunction, longer than corpus bursae; corpus bursae ovate; signum forming a long plate, about 2/3 the length of corpus bursae. Distribution . Vietnam (Bac Khan Prov., Nhin Binh Prov.). Etymology. The species name is derived from the Latin, diversi (= various) with the Greek diminutive suffix, ola denoting resemblance.
