Remarks.— Distant (1904a) described a head about as wide as the mesonotum, anterior postclypeus truncated, supra-antennal plated deflected, ampliated and subangulately produced lateral pronotal margins extending laterally about to the base of the fore wing basal cell, the mesonotum and pronotum about the same length, an elevated and centrally sulcate metasternum, moderately sized timbal covers, short and broad opercula with convexly rounded apices, rostrum reaching the posterior coxae, fore wing costal membrane wider than costal area, dilated and prominently arched proximally, and a very broad fore wing basal cell as characteristic of the genus. Distribution.—The species have been reported from Madagascar and South Africa ( Metcalf 1963a ; Duffels & van der Laan 1985 ; Sanborn 2013 ).
