Etymology. Name given due to the distribution of the species. Diagnosis. Antennal segments I and II dark brown, becoming gradually lighter in the other segments ( Fig. 1 B ). Humeral angles very projected, apices covered by a black spot which extends to the ventral surface ( Figs. 1 B , 2 B ). Corium with veins forming a clear “Y” close to a small spot ( Fig. 1 B ). Connexivum green with yellow spots on the center of each segment ( Fig. 1 B ). Male: superior process of the genital cup narrow, elongated, triangular, black, flattened ( Fig. 5 D , E ); parameres narrow, elongated, blade like, dorsally directed, parallel to proctiger, margins black, outer lateral margins straight, and rounded apex ( Fig. 5 D , E ). Female genital plates: valvifers VIII distal margins arched; mesial borders “V” shaped; medial excavation narrower than valvifers IX ( Fig. 5 F ). Description. Head. Apex of mandibular plates with a brownish spot. Antennal segments formula: IV>V>III>II>I. Thorax . Pronotum with shallow and brown punctation ( Fig. 1 B ). Scutellum with shallow and brown punctation ( Fig. 1 B ). Corium lateral margins yellow ( Fig. 1 B ). Membrane of hemelytra light brown ( Fig. 1 B ). Ventral surface with shallow and brown punctation ( Fig. 2 B ). Metasternal process elevated anteriorly; anterior arms with rounded apices and divergent ( Fig. 5 C ). Legs yellow ( Fig. 2 B ). Abdomen. Connexivum with lateral excavations darker than reaming surface ( Fig. 1 B ). Distal part of seventh abdominal segment with black spot covering almost ½ of the segment ( Fig. 1 B ). Region between abdominal segments darker than adjacent areas ( Fig. 2 B ). Male ( Fig. 5 A , B , D , E , G ). Pygophore. Superior process of the genital cup black, transversal to dorsal rim, visible in dorsal view ( Fig. 5 A , D , E ). Proctiger strongly excavated on laterals, excavation with long setae; dorsal face delimited by a small carina; posterior face triangular, elongated, narrow on anterior part, with a small carina on the middle ( Fig. 5 D , E ). (Scale = 1mm). Female ( Figs. 5 F , 15 B ). Valvifers VIII strongly punctate and setose ( Fig. 5 F ). Valvifers IX slightly swollen, base excavated, setose ( Fig. 5 F ). Laterotergites IX setose; in the same level of seventh segment ( Fig. 5 F ). Capsula seminalis with small tooth ( Fig. 15 B ). Comments. There are some specimens with some differences in the proportion of structures of the male genitalia, especially in those from Estirão do Equador, Amazonas, Brazil. However, we concluded that these differences are simply variations between populations since this species is widely distributed. Also, see the comments of O. ori sp n. Distribution ( Fig. 17 ).
