Borg (1919)
recorded this species as
Lecanium corni
and stated that it might be considered as one of the rarer species.
Borg (1932)
recorded it as
Eulecanium corni
and said that it was “an uncommon species occasionally met with on the Peach,
Maclura aurantiaca
, Rose
and other non-specified host plants”. No Maltese specimens have been seen during the present work.
