The specific name is a noun in apposition that refers to the type locality of the holotype . Diagnosis . Females of S. genebra n.sp. are distinguished from those of the remaining Neotropical Scytodes by the oval hyaline pockets with a large sclerotized area at the base ( Fig. 96 ). Description. Male unknown. Female ( Holotype , IBSP 35148) Carapace pale orange, lighter at center, with brown pattern as shown on Fig. 94 . Chelicerae pale orange with dorsal, longitudinal brown stripe. Pedipalps pale yellow with prolateral brown stripe. Labium and endites pale yellow, distally cream colored. Sternum cream colored with slightly darker margins and black borders in front of each coxae. Legs pale yellow. Femora I–IV with pair of longitudinal, ventral brown stripes. Tibiae and metatarsi I–IV distally brown. Abdomen pale yellow with faint black pattern ( Fig. 94 ). Total length 5.4. Carapace domed, 2.8 long, 2.2 wide. Eye diameters: PME 0.14, ALE 0.14, PLE 0.14. Lateral eyes on a tubercle. Chelicerae with subapical hyaline keel and inconspicuous stridulatory ridges. Labium 0.24 long, 0.28 wide. Sternum 1.32 long, 1.1 wide. Leg measurements: I: femur 5.8, patella 0.9, tibia 6.5, metatarsus 8.3, tarsus 1.2, total 22.7; II: 4.5, 0.9, 4.6, 5.5, 1.0, 16.5; III: 4.0, 0.9, 2.7, 3.5, 1.0, 12.1; IV: 4.6, 0.9, 4.3, 4.9, 1.0, 15.7. Palpal femur with stridulatory pick short and stout with rounded and projected socket. Epigynum with small positioning ridges with two to three ridges, separated from each other by 4–5 times their width ( Fig. 95 ). Vulva with globose spermathecae on narrow stalks adjacent to oval hyaline pockets ( Fig. 96 ). Abdomen 2.5 long, 2.0 wide, covered with slender hairs. Distribution . Atlantic Forest.
