André (1980) defined this genus as follows: opisthosoma with 10 pairs of setae ( ps included); poroidotaxy: three; genital organotaxy—adults: no eugenital setae in female (male not known), four pairs of genital setae and aggenital setae; chaetotaxy of leg segments: 8( ω )- 6-5-5, tibiae 4-2-2-2, genua 3-2-1-1, femora 3-1-1-0, trochantera 1-0-0-0, epimeral formula adults: 3-1-4-2; solenidiotaxy: one, femur IV entire; palp chaetotaxy: 6( ω )-2-2.
