Such characters can be seen in Cephennodes (s. str.) elytratus Jałoszyński, 2007a (Guangxi, China) and two new species described below. Despite the similarity of the aedeagi between the Cephennodes longipes and Cephennodes elytratus groups, their general body shape is different and species belonging in the latter do not have particularly long antennae or long, sparse setae among suberect basic elytral vestiture.
