It has become increasingly important commercially for its pollination services to agriculture. This commercial translocation has resulted in its introduction and invasion in South America, New Zealand , Tasmania and Japan ( Williams et al. 2012 ). This bee is not regarded as being scarce or threatened (Rasmont et al. 2015).
