Description.
Length 8.5–9.0 mm. Head, pronotum and elytra pitch brownish black; scutellum brownish black; epistome, first four segments of antennae and legs reddish yellow; eyes black.
Head stout, wider than long, vertex smooth, glabrous, frons and neck punctated, pubescent; eyes protruding; antennae slender, long, reaching the middle of elytra, segment 3 length equals combined length of segments 1 and 2, apical segment elongate-oval.
Pronotum broad, wider than long, shiny, wrinkled, pubescent; disc with apical margin straight, lateral edge projecting forward, basal margin inwardly sinuate; disc laterally with anterior half convex, posterior half divergent, hind angles blunt, acute; median groove moderately deep, complete, connecting the apical and basal margin; lateral bead narrow.
Elytra convex, shiny, pubescent with dense yellow setae, base narrowed, humerus erased; apex without re-entrant angle, having narrow membranous border; scutellum pointed; striations clear, rounded, intervals narrow, layers of setae along the striations as well as intervals.
