Material : 1♂ holotype , slide mounted: head, 2 palpi, 1 antenna, thorax cut in half, 2 wings, 6 legs, abdomen part, 2 styles, aedeagus, epandrium with epandrial processes; left side white label: Turkey , Hatay Province , Cevlik, a stream approximately 200 m a.s.l. ( 36°09’N / 38°58’E ), 3.7.1998 , Chvoika leg.; rocky valley, brush wood, oleanders, Rubus , Ficus . Right side red label: Tonnoirella hatayensis Ježek 1999 , holotype Cat. No. 33801. Description : Head eyebridge of 3 facet rows; distance between eyes 5 facet diameters; one row of postocular bristles. Antenna with scape, pedicel and 14 flagellomeres: absolute length 0.044-0.054-0.036-0.036-0.036-0.036- 0.036-0.036-0.034-0.034-0.03-0.03 -0.026 -0.022 - 0.02-0.03 mm ; relative length 22-27-18-18-18-18-18-18-17-17- 15-15-13-11 -10-15; terminal flagellomere with apiculus. Pairs of digitate ascoids on flagellomeres 5–11. Palpus segments absolute length: 0.068-0.068-0.084- 0.134 mm ; relative length 34-34-42-67. Wing 2.93 times longer than wide; length 1.66 mm , width 0.57 mm . Sc without crossveins, R 1 basally thin, only from the tip of Sc on of ‘normal’ width. Male terminalia with hypandrium not definitely detected. Gonocoxites approximately 1.8x longer than wide, a long seta not detected. Gonostyli 1.3 times longer than gonocoxites, slightly sinuous ( Fig. 52 ). Parameres are not clearly discernable, middle extensions oval with converging tips; condyles large, oval. Aedeagus visible in cross ventral view, with two apical hook-shaped and bent distiphallus sclerites. The cross view shows the aedeagal sheath, probably open until near base and the tips of the distiphallus sclerite ( Fig. 53 ). However, a proper comparison with other species is at the moment impossible. General shape of epandrium not detectable; epandrial processes elongate, straight with 4 bases of tenacula, tenacula not found on slide. Distribution : Turkey . Remarks : certainly a good species, based on the two hook-shaped ends of the distiphallus, probably related to T. syriensis . However, for a proper comparison with other species additional material is necessary.
