This is the first record from
Saudi Arabia
. It was described from
Greece
and is further recorded from
Russia
(
Tajikistan
,
Turkmenistan
, and Uzbekekistan) and
Yemen
(
Peck 1988
;
Smit
et al.
2017
;
Speight 2020
).
Remarks.
Since the diagnostic characters of the species are known from the male sex there is always the slight possibility that the female is of another species. We prefer to regard the females as
Eumerus
sp. nr.
lucidus
until such time as molecular investigation can reveal their true identity.
