Mesosoma
. Pronotal disc strongly coriaceous, anterior margin ecarinate. Notauli deep, complete, evenly narrow, converging posterad. Propodeal disc 0.78 × as long as wide; basal triangle rugulose, posterolateral area imbricate; median carina posteriorly incomplete; lateral margins weakly convex, parallel; posterior carina welldefined, convex. Lateral of propodeum mostly imbricate. Propodeal declivity mostly imbricate.
Metasoma
. Tergal process with shallow, longitudinally elliptical and sublateral pair of depressions; depressions 0.67 × as long as tergite II, diverging posterad, distant each other 2.5 × maximum transverse diameter, with setae long and lateroposterad on lateral area; small and low pair of tubercles placed on anterior area of depression, margin angular; lateral stalk of hypopygium 0.13 × as long as median stalk; posterior margin weakly concave; corner rounded (
Fig. 123
).
Genitalia
(
Figs 214–215
). Genital ring produced, each half straight in dorsal view. Basiparamere with dorsal surface rectangular, much narrower than ventral surface. Paramere with basal area wider than basiparamere apex; apex angulate; apical margin strongly concave in ventral view, angled mesad. Basivolsella setose, with three thick, short, median and apical setae. Aedeagus 1.94 × as long as wide; dorsal body of aedeagus narrower apically, narrowing progressively apicad, lateral margin straight, parallel, wholly much curved dorsad, apex with one pair of outer lobe; base of dorsal body of aedeagus weakly sclerotized, triangular, with median region angulate; ventral ramus of aedeagus almost as high as dorsal body, lateral margin of ventral ramus sinuous, wider medially and apex much narrower than base. Apodeme extending beyond genital ring.

Variations.
Body length between 1.71 and
2.50 mm
; LFW between 1.37 and
1.63 mm
; maximum wing width between 0.61 and
0.76 mm
.
Remarks.
Dissomphalus magnetus
sp. nov.
is similar to
D. thaianus
and
D. barbus
sp. nov.
because of the following characteristics: basiparamere and paramere narrow in dorsal view, aedeagal dorsal body wide and ventral ramus wider medially. However, dorsal body of
D. magnetus
sp. nov.
is entirely wide, and its apex has wide exposure of inner lobes; the aedeagal ventral ramus is as long as dorsal body and narrow with abrupt widening between apex of basal region and base of median region; the aedeagal apodeme is long and with apex turned mesad.
Distribution.
Thailand
(
Chiang Mai
,
Lampang
,
Sakon Nakhon
and
Phitsanulok
).
