AnteriOr 3–8 pairS Of parapOdia mOdified but nOt enlarged with uSually tridentate (rarely bi- and tridentate), pSeudOcOmpOund hOOkS with ShOrt hOOdS; large median Simple hOOkS preSent Or abSent. Ventral cirri Subulate On anteriOr 3–6 (rarely mOre) chaetigerS. DOrSal limbate chaetae uSually frOm chaetiger 1, Ventral limbate chaetae cOmpOund (= SpinigerS) frOm chaetiger 4 Or later until replaced by bidentate hOOded Subacicular hOOkS frOm chaetiger 10–29. Pectinate chaetae uSually preSent Branchiae rarely abSent, uSually aS Single filamentS (rarely pectinate).
