Comments. This species is known from the Canary Islands across the entire Mediterranean to the northern Caucasus ( Wiehle, 1964), Abkhazia ( Kovblyuk, Marusik, Ponomarev, Gnelitsa, & Nadolny, 2011) and Georgia ( Otto, 2014). This is the southeasternmost record in the range.
