Thetorchestia (sic) karukerae .— Ortiz, Martin & Diaz, 2007: 516.

Types. Holotype male MNHN Am 2430, paratypes 4 males MNHN Am 2432 . Allotype 1 female MNHN Am 2431, paratypes 4 females MNHN Am 2433 .

Type locality. Anse à la Barque de St-François , Grande-Terre de Guadeloupe .

Ecological type. Beach-hopper.

Habitat. Marine supralittoral, sand beach inside reef.

Size. Male, 7.4 mm, female, 10.4 mm.

Diagnostic description (male). Based on Ciavatti (1989).

Gnathopod 2 dactylus short, distally acute. Pereopod 6 shorter than pereopod 7; not incrassate; basis moderately expanded; male merus expanded, carpus not expanded (slightly). Pereopod 7 basis broadly expanded. Telson with 4–5 robust setae per lobe.

Remarks. See remarks under T. antillensis .

Distribution. Guadeloupe. Grande-Terre de Guadeloupe ( Ciavatti 1989).
