Distribution. West Palaearctic; introduced to Canada (Douglas et al., 2013)

Biology. Meadows in forests, bushlands and steppes. Bisexual populations are mostly restricted to broad belt of north coast of Black Sea and Balkans and single male was collected in Zhytomyr Province. The other parts of its huge range are occupied by parthenogenetic populations. Adults occur in IV–VIII. Polyphagous.
