Distribution. From Balkans and northeastern Africa to western Middle Asia ( Turkmenistan) (Simaiakis et al. 2013; Dyachkov et al. 2022a).
Remarks. Archeobius phanus was synonymized under Hessebius barbipes by Eason (1981).
