( Figs. 8, 14 View FIGURES 1 – 14 , 17, 23, 28 View FIGURES 15 − 30 , 34, 34 View FIGURES 34 − 40 a −c)

Holotype. 3, Papua, Indonesia, Depapre, Cyclops Mts., 2°29ʹS,140° 7ʹE, 21 I 1966, at light, Indonesia Papua ZMA-exp. 1966, gen. prep. no. CIS-6040/Park.

Diagnosis. The species is superficially similar to P. esdiparki and P. searsi , but it can be distinguished by the shiny orange white head and tegula, the forewing with the median patch more yellowish with rounded outer margin, and the hindwing with a more distinct, triangular projection medially in outer margin of orange median patch. The male genitalia of P. callisomata can be separated from those of P. esdiparki and P. s e ar s i by its shorter uncus, truncated apically; its nearly parallel-sided cucullus; its larger juxta, with small, ovate lobes at the laterodistal corners and similar ones at the latero-anterior corners; and the longer series of cornuti.

Description. Adult ( Figs. 8, 14 View FIGURES 1 – 14 , 17, 23, 28 View FIGURES 15 − 30 ). Wingspan 18 mm. Head: Orange white, mixed with brownish scales posteriorly; face shiny orange white. Antenna with slender basal segment, dark brown dorsally, with paler apex; flagellum brownish in basal half, then orange white, shortly ciliated. Labial palpus with second segment more or less slender with appressed scales, gently recurved, dark brown on outer surface, paler on inner surface, acute apically; third segment absent. Thorax: Collar well-developed, shiny orange white. Tegula and thorax dark brown dorsally. Forewing elongate, slightly dilated distally; basal fascia dark brown; costal streak broad, dark brown, extended from base to terminal fascia along costa; ovate orange-white patch in basal area, followed by brownish antemedian fascia; yellowish orange median patch large, occupying nearly half of wing, with rounded outer margin, in which large dark-brown spot connected to upper costal streak medially; apex obtuse; termen oblique, slightly sinuate; fringe concolorous, with paler basal line; venation with R1 arising from middle of cell; R2 and R3+4 stalked at basal 1/5 length; R3 and R4 stalked before middle; R5 absent; M1 remote; M2 absent; M3 nearly connate with CuA1+2; CuA1 and CuA2 stalked at basal 1/5 length. Hindwing slightly broader than forewing, with dark-brown basal fascia and large blackish spot before middle; median patch deep orange, outer margin triangularly produced at middle and beyond middle of inner margin; apex more or less obtuse; termen strongly oblique; fringe concolorous, except orange in basal lower corner; venation similar to that of the preceding species. Hind tibia clothed with orange scales dorsally, with fuscous scales apically. Abdomen: Yellowish orange, with blackish segments on the first, sixth, and anal segments; tergites II −VII with spinous zones.

Male genitalia ( Figs 34, 34 View FIGURES 34 − 40 a −b) with uncus rather short, slightly dilated distally, with truncate apex. Gnathos absent. Tegumen weakly sclerotized. Valva elongate, longer than tegumen+vinculum; costa concave in 1/3 length; ventral margin concave in 2/5 length; cucullus elongate, with almost parallel sided, with strong bristles in distal part; sacculus broadly developed, terminated before 2/5 length. Juxta large, convex on caudal margin, with ovate lobes in latero-distal and latero-anterior corners. Aedeagus broad at base, narrower towards apex, as long as valva; cornuti consist of a sheaf of bristles, sigmoid, extended from near base to apex.

Female genitalia unknown.

Distribution. Indonesia ( Papua).

Etymology. The species name is derived from the Greek, call (= beautiful) and soma (= a body)
