Marionina View in CoL hoVbaueri Möller, 1971

arionina hoVbaueri M öller, 1971: 162–163, gure 18.

M aterial examined. Holotype, MNH UB 10624 , Germany, Potsdam , Hermannswerder peninsula of river Havel, periodically ooded alluvial meadow on riverbank, loamy sand, pH 5.5, 30 m a.s.l., F. Möller leg., 24 May 1965 . Paratypes, MNH UB 11097 , seven specimens from type locality, F. Möller leg., January to March 1970 .

Description. Length of whole-moun ted specimens 1–1.3 mm, width 63–85 m m at III, 68–90 m m at V, 65–90 m m at XII. Specimens comprising 18 (n 56) or 19 (n 52) segments. Chaetal formula 0,2,(3)-2 5 2,3-2. Lateral chaetae: two per bundle in II–VII, sometimes three in IV, missing from VIII to XI, in one specimen present in VIII on the right side; ventral chaetae: generally three per bundle in IV–VIII or IV–IX, sometimes also on one or both sides of III, two per bundle elsewhere; both lateral and ventral chaetae absent in XII at maturity. Chaetae straight, thin (1.5–1.7 m m thick at shaft midpoint), with distinct ental hook, equal-sized in a bundle. Length

ventral chaetae 12.5– 20 m m in anteclitellar segments, 17–22 m m in postclitellar segments. Prostomium 40–45 m m wide. Peristomium 55–60 m m wide. H ead pore at / 1. Epidermal glands inconspicuous. Clitellum over XII–1 2 XIII, not much elevated, comprising large glands (up to 12 by 12 m m; cf. also M öller, 1971) arranged in 12–14 transverse rows. Male pores ventrolateral in posterior half of XII, 38 m m apart. Spermathecal pores in lateral lines at 4 / 5.

Brain concave anteriorly, straight or slightly incised posteriorly, 60–65 m m long. Three pairs of pharyngeal glands at 4 / 5, 5 / 6 and 6 / 7, those of the anterior two pairs always fused dorsally, the last pair dorsally free, elongate. Ventral lobes present in IV and V. No secondary pharyngeal glands. Paired postpharyngeal bulbs in III. One pair of hollow oesophageal appendages ventrally in IV, attached anteriorly to body wall. Transition between oesophagus and intestine gradual. Chloragogen cells dense from VII, stalked and prominent (rising up to 11 m m above gut wall). Tall hyaline cells lining oor and sides of intestine in XIV–XV. An amount of mineral particles in the gut lumen.

Preclitellar nephridia at 7 / 8 and 8 / 9, often unpaired, with large anteseptal part, and eVerent duct arising subterminally from elongate postseptal; postclitellar nephridia at 13 / 14, 15 / 16 and 16 / 17. D orsal vessel originating in XII–XIII, with anterior bifurcation behind pharynx.

Seminal vesicles absent. Sperm funnels small, 25–31 m m long, ectally bent. H eads

spermatozoa extending ca 15 m m above collar. Vasa deferentia tightly coiled in anterior of XII, ca 3 m m wide. Penial bulbs 23–26 m m long, globular, compact, with lateral epidermal invagination. N o egg sac. One mature egg. Spermathecae one pair, communicating separately with oesophagus in posterior of V. Ectal ducts long and thin, ca 30 by 7–11 m m, covered by gland cells (more developed along ectal half),

clearly demarcated
