Comments: As explained above, Notolomatia was proposed for afrotropical species formerly included in Lomatia .

Keys: Afrotropical, Bezzi (1924); southern Africa, Hesse (1956).

Distribution: Afrotropical. Africa South of the Sahara: 100 species (mostly southern Africa also south-western Arabia).
