Material examinado. EAST TIMOR. West of Dili, off Tibar , on outer side of reef, reef slope, 08°33’48”S 125°28’31”E, Porites lobata lump, 7.5 m depth, 21 Sep 2012, coll. A. Murray, 1 spec. ( AM W.53037) GoogleMaps .

Remarks. The poor condition of the specimens does not allow us to identify them at the species level. However, it represents the first report of the genus from Timor.

Habitat. In amongst dead corals.

Distribution. The genus Parahaplosyllis is only known from Australia (New South Wales; San Martín et al. 2010) and Philippines (Luzón; Álvarez-Campos et al. 2013). First record for East Timor.
