( NZAC, CXMNC); same loc., 28.IV.2002, on leaves and twigs of Citrus spp., S. Cazères coll., Rosa C. Henderson det. ( NZAC, CXMNC); Voh County (Mont Katepahié), 29.X.2009, on Dodonaea viscosa, S. Cazères coll., Rosa C. Henderson det. ( CXMNC); Koumac County (Tiébaghi Mining Plant), 6.III.2013, on leaves of an unidentified Sapotaceae, H. Jourdan coll., S. Cazères det. ( CXMNC).
PUBLISHED RECORDS IN NEW CALEDONIA. — Cohic (1958a).
DISTRIBUTION IN NEW CALEDONIA. — Grande Terre (Bourail, Voh and Koumac counties).
HOST- PLANTS IN NEW CALEDONIA. — Annona squamosa , Citrus spp., Coffea spp., Ficus spp., Gardenia spp., Gerbera jamesoni ( Cohic 1958a) , Nerium oleander , Plumeria acuminata ( Brun & Chazeau 1986) , Litchi chinensis , Psidium guajava ( Mille 2011) , recently found on Dodonaea viscosa .
OTHER RECORDS. — Almost cosmopolitan.
BIOLOGICAL AGENTS. — Cryptolaemus montrouzieri Mulsant, 1853 ( Coleoptera : Coccinellidae ).
NOTES. — This species is an important problem on young trees, and is a regulated quarantine insect on commodities (especially litchees and limes) for export to Japan and New Zealand, as its detection at their borders can lead to fruit shipment rejection or even destruction.
