Material examined. Hubei: Shennongjia Forestry District, Yanziya Village , 31.73°N, 110.48°E, 1977m, 22– 30.vi.1986, J. Chen leg., 1M and 21FF (CBEE); Jilin: Changbaishan Nature Reserve , 41.85°N, 128.09°E, 2721m, 26.vii.1987, J.C Gao and J. Chen leg., 1F ( CBEE) .

Diagnosis: This species is similar to Neriene albolimbata (Karsch, 1879) , but can be distinguished from the latter by the following characters: 1, paracymbium with a distinct triangle-shaped subapical appendage in N. hammeni , but not in N. albolimbata ( Figs 30A , 31 B–C); 2, the tip of terminal apophysis narrow in N. hammeni , but significantly broad in N. albolimbata ( Figs 30E , 31D ); 3, spermathecae pointing sideways, separated from each other in N. hammeni , but pointing mesally, close with each other in N. albolimbata ( Figs 30 G–H, 32D–E).
