Material examined. Hubei: Luotian County, Tiantangzai national forest Park , 30.41°N, 102.77°E, 946m, 20.vii. to 6.viii.2009, X. Xu & H.J. Xie leg., 4MM and 23FF (CBEE); Hainan: Bawangling Mountain National Nature Reserve , 19.13°N, 109.10°E, 780m, 1.viii.2007, F.X. Liu leg. 2MM and 2FF ( CBEE) .

Diagnosis: This species is similar to N. radiata in having simple and U-shaped paracymbium, grooved and heavily chitinous terminal apophysis, common distal suprategular apophysis with bifurcate tip, small atrium opening, longer vulva, but can be distinguished from the latter by the following characters: 1, the embolic tip with small excrescence in N. longipedella , but without small excrescence in N. radiata ; 2, the well developed lamella extending beyond the apex of cymbium in N. longipedella , but not in N. radiata ; 3, the parmula of N. longipedella rather smaller than that of N. radiata ; 4, the copulatory grooves started mesally in N. longipedella , but in N. radiata ( Figs 59–60 , 61 C–E, 39–40, 41C–E).
