Remarks. Valid species, described from Sri Lanka ( Daday 1898).
Distribution. “ Ethiopian and Indo-Malayan regions ” ( Smirnov 1996). Common in the Oriental zone ( Idris 1983; Maiphae et al. 2005), in fact this is one of the most common Chydorus species in India.
