Status at New Ireland. New record, based on NTUM material (1 specimen, St. CP 4420-21, northeast of New Hanover; 1 specimen, St. CP 4496-8, northwest of New Hanover; 1 specimen, St. CP 4497-10, northwest of New Hanover ).

Distribution and habitat. New Ireland: 1.—General distribution: Western Pacific: Indonesia and Philippines east to Guam, north to southern Japan, south to northern Australia and New Caledonia. Bathydemersal, 269–610 m depth. Marine.
