Type fragment:—[ Greece] in m. silvat m. Taygeti rariss: 18 July 1844, T. H. H . von Heldreich 421 ( WU 0079199 ) .

A handwritten note by Halácsy states, that the inflorescence mounted on the above cited sheet originates from the single type specimen of Onosma taygetea and was given to him by Heldreich, whereas the leaf originates from a different gathering .
