Distribution. Central and SE Europe ( Alonso-Zarazaga 2013).
Material examined. Chernivtsi Prov.: 1 spec. ( SMTD) Chernowitz, Penecke leg. ; 2 spec. ( SIZK) Chernivtsi env., hill, V. Yu. Nazarenko leg., 29.vii.1995 ; 1 spec. ( SIZK) Podolia ; Lviv Prov.: 1 spec. ( DMLU) near Lwow, Holosko , Noskiewicz leg., 6.v.1923 ; Zhytomyr Prov.: 2 spec. ( SIZK) Schitomir [= Zhytomyr], G. Proschiga leg., 10.v.1927 .
Biology. Meadows. Adults occur in V–VII. Polyphagous ( Mazur 2002). In lab trials imago consumed Sanguisorba sp. ( Rosaceae ).
Notes. Examination of material from Ukraine revealed only N. tigratus porculus but not N. tigratus tigratus .
