( Fig. 5 View FIGURE5 ; Plate II, A–D)

Length. Male: 1.9–2.5mm; female: 2.7mm.

Greenish ochraceous (Plate II: A). Head broader than pronotum. Vertex centrally with black marking between anterior margins of eyes. Two black spots at posterior margin of vertex. Pronotum shiny, with black spots, laterally carinate. Scutellum dark brown with posterior margin yellowish. Ocelli at anterior margin (Plate II: B). Frontoclypeus entirely black, anteclypeus black with yellow lateral margin (Plate II: D). Forewing macropterous with brown veins.

Genitalia. Pygofer with darkly sclerotized part on posteroventral margin more than its half, with sparse spinules, dorsoapical margin With 2–3 macrosetae ( Figure 5 View FIGURE5 : A). Spinular dark serration present in a row near anal tube base. Connective Y-shaped with arms wide apart from each other ( Figure 5 View FIGURE5 : C). Subgenital plate with 3–4 macrosetae, smaller than pygofer ( Figure 5 View FIGURE5 : B). Style with well developed claw-like apophysis, inner process longer than outer process, wide apart ( Figure 5 View FIGURE5 : D). Aedeagal shaft gently curved dorsally ( Figure 5 View FIGURE5 : E–F).

Remarks. This species closely resembles A. furcata in having the male pygofer with darkly sclerotized part on the posteroventral margin more than its half its length and connective arms wide apart from each other, but it differs from the latter by the following features: pygofer dorsoapical margin with 2–3 dark spinules; style apophysis less than 2 times longer than preapical lobe; row of short spinules present near base of anal tube; subgenital plate shorter than pygofer.

PLATE II. Aconurella choui sp. n. A: habitus, dorsal view; B: habitus, lateral view; C: head, dorsal view; D: face.

Etymology. This species is named in honour of Prof. Chou Io who was the founder of the NWAFU Entomological Museum, where the type specimen is deposited.
