Anolis nigropunctatus Williams 1974 .

Holotype ILS 21 (=actual acronym MLS) ( fig. 22 View FIGURE 22 ), male. “ El Diamante, Norte de Santander, Colombia. 1600 meters elevation” paratype ILS 20 (= actual acronym MLS) ( fig. 23 View FIGURE 23 ), female. Toledo, Norte de Santander, Colombia ”. All specimens were collected by Brother Nicéforo María in Jan. 1949.

Remarks: Junior synonym of Anolis jacare according to Ugueto et al. (2007). Specimen MLS 21 and 20 are hydrated and in good state of preservation.
