Diagnosis. Frontal triangle smooth, with a longitudinal groove along each lateral margin and broad median groove. Antenna entirely black; arista slender and naked. Fore leg black except for yellow distal portion of fore tibia and fore tarsus with tarsomere 5 brown; mid and hind legs yellow. Male genitalia ( Figs. 20–23 View FIGURES 20 – 23 ): Epandrium yellow with 2 band-like sclerites along posterodorsal notch; surstylus basally broad with spinous processes. Cercus small, triangular in ventral view with some short setulae. Gonites arranged in a row; postgonite long with some sensory setulae, distally pointed and slightly incurved; pregonite short, 0.5x as long as postgonite, basally broad; basiphallus cylindrical; distiphallus beyond ventral margin of hypandrium, largely membranous; phallapodeme long, extended near base of basiphallus, with basal stalk broad in lateral view. Hypandrium narrow.

Specimens examined. 1 ♂ (CAU), CHINA: Yunnan: Mengla, Bubeng, Qingshuigou, 8. VIII. 2010, Coll. Wenliang Li; 1 ♂ (CAU), Mengla, Yaoqu, Xiaopubu, 6. VIII. 2010, Coll. Hui Yu.

Distribution. China (Yunnan), India.

Remarks. A. trilineata is somewhat similar to A. femorata Cherian in having the body stout; frontal triangle smooth with a longitudinal groove along each lateral margin and broad median groove; fore coxa and femur black. It can be separated from the latter by the following features: antenna black; arista naked; fore femur distinctly thickened, maximum width 1/3 its length. In A. femorata , pedicel is brownish black and first flagellomere is yellowish brown; arista has short pubescence; fore femur is not greatly thickened, maximum width 1/4 its length ( Cherian 1984).
