Global distribution: NT.

Argentinian distribution: Neuquén.

Ecology: This species was recorded from a permanent lake with pH: 9.29, electrical conductivity 1022 μS/cm and an oxygen level of 9.5 mg /l. The environment presented high concentrations of calcium and silica and high concentration of suspended solids.
