Bakerdania tenuispina Sevastianov, 1974

Bakerdania uniseta Khaustov and Hajiqanbar, 2004: 109 , figs. 1-6 syn. nov.

Sevastianov (1974) described Bakerdania tenuispina Sevastianov, 1974 from soil in Ukraine. Khaustov & Hajiqanbar (2004) described Bakerdania uniseta Khaustov and Hajiqanbar, 2004 phoretic on scarabaeid beetles Pleurophorus anatolicus Petrovitz (Colaoptera: Scarabaeidae ) from Iran. I examined female holotypes of both species. Holotype of Bakerdania tenuispina is in very bad condition, but length and structure of the dorsal and ventral setae, as well as the leg setae are discernible. Comparison of holotype of B. tenuispina with the type material of B. uniseta revealed their conspecificity, and I consider B. uniseta syn. nov as a junior synonym of B. tenuispina .

Material examined. Female holotype of Bakerdania tenuispina Sevastianov, 1974 , slide Т-Р-27, UKRAINE: vicinity of Odessa, soil under beet, 23 May 1966, coll. Furman. Female holotype and one female of Bakerdania uniseta Khaustov and Hajiqanbar, 2004 from Pleurophorus anatolicus Petrovitz ( Coleoptera : Scarabaeidae ), IRAN: West-Azarbaijan Province, Miandoab plain, 15 May 2000, coll. H. R. Hajiqanbar.
