Median clypeal lobe convex; apical margin strongly medially ventrad, without median tooth conspicuous; carina high, arched in profile. Antennal torulus slightly prominent. Flagellomeres median-sized; four first antennomeres in ratio about 19:5:7:7; pedicel short, 1.25 × as long as wide; flagellomere I 1.40 × as long as wide; flagellomere IX 1.5 × as long as wide; flagellar pubescence suberect and erect, about half of diameter of flagellomeres. Frons polished; densely punctate. WH 1.0 × LH. WF 0.70 × WH. WF 1.50 × HE. Eye median-sized, salient; pilosity sparse. Ocellus large. DAO 0.23 × WF; frontal angle of ocellar triangle acute. WOT 2.20 × DAO. OOL 0.81 × WOT. Distance of posterior ocellus to vertex crest 1.20 × DAO. VOL 0.93 × HE. Temple slightly divergent. Vertex straight. Occipital carina complete, not visible in dorsal view.

Mesosoma ( Fig. 36 View FIGURES 31 – 39 ). Pronotal disc and mesonotum polished; densely punctate. Pronotal collar long. Pronotal declivity high. Pronotal disc 0.47 × as long as wide. Notauli strongly conspicuous; complete; slightly convergent. Parapsidal furrow complete. Scutellar furrow long, slender, shallow, scrobiculate, posterior margin straight. Median region of scutellum not punctate. Median region of metanotum very short, wide. Inner foveae of metanotal furrow large. Propodeal disc 1.13 × as long as wide; 0.57 × as high as long; basal triangle conspicuous, rugulose, rest of disc polished; median carina absent; paramedian carina inconspicuous, long; lateral carina absent; sublateral carina absent; transversal carina absent; declivity strigulate; side of propodeum polished. Mesopleuron polished; callus absent; fovea shallow; mesopleural pit present. Metacarpus 0.26 × radial vein; discoidal vein slightly pigmented, not interstitial with median; first recurrent slightly pigmented; subdiscoidal vein slightly pigmented.

Metasoma ( Fig. 40 View FIGURES 40 – 41 ). Hypopygium ( Fig. 56 View FIGURES 51 – 58 ) 1.17 × as long as wide; posterior margin straight with a median lobe; median lobe convex, wide; lateral margin straight; anterior pigmented line ill-defined, wide; median stalk short; lateral stalk present, rectangular, inconspicuous. Genitalia ( Figs 89–90 View FIGURES 86 – 94 ): aedeagus uniformly wide; apical margin of ventral paramere convex; dorsal paramere as wide as ventral one, glabrous; basivolsella slightly excavated; inner margin of cuspis sinuous; genital ring short.

Distribution. Thailand (Chanthaburi, Chiang Mai).

Remarks. Caloapenesia sabeli sp. nov. resembles C. thailandiana by present ocellus large; lateral stalk of hypopygium rectangular; aedeagus uniformly wide. But C. sabeli sp. nov. presents temple divergent; ocellus and eye smaller than C. thailandiana ; lateral lobe of posterior margin of hypopygium inconspicuous. Caloapenesia sabeli sp. nov. also resembles C. supra sp. nov. by present temple divergent; ocellus large; teeth large; lateral stalk of hypopygium rectangular; aedeagus uniformly wide. But C. sabeli sp. nov. presents eye very smaller than in C. supra sp. nov.; lateral lobe of posterior margin of hypopygium inconspicuous.
