Distribution. Introduced. Nearctic, Neotropical; Galápagos: Santa Cruz.

Material examined. Galápagos: Santa Cruz: CDRS , beach zone, 19.vi.2016, sweeping, B.J. Sinclair (9 ♁, 10 ♀, CNC) .

Remarks. Adults of this species were recently reared from seashore dropseed ( Sporobolus virginicus (L.) Kunth) flowerheads, collected fresh in the urban and arid zones on Santa Cruz (Lehnen et al. unpubl.) and also swept from the beaches.
