Based on Chinese material and references by Harrison (1992: 191), Lehmann (1979: 47; 1981:23), Saether (1981: 37), Sasa (1979: 44; 1990: 134), Sasa & Okazawa (1992: 166), Schlee (1968: 15), Schmid (1993: 196), Sublette & Sasa (1994: 20), Tokunaga (1936: 38), and Fu et al. (2010) the generic description given by Cranston et al. (1989) for adult males should be changed as follows: Antenna with 8–13 flagellomeres, AR 0.2–1.2 and wing length 0.64–1.38 mm
