Type locality: “ Brazil ”. HT M (SMF). Distr.: Central to South America ( Guimarães, 1971a: 111, 1971b: 100; Sabrosky, 1973: 219). Refs.: Guimarães, 1971a: 111 (cat., with fuscipennis as synonym of petiolata View in CoL ); Guimarães, 1971b: 100 (rev., key to species, with fuscipennis as synonym of petiolata View in CoL ); Sabrosky, 1973: 219 (rev., key to species, notes). Comm.: Species not recorded to Colombia, but is likely to occur in the country.
