Diagnosis. Ernocornutia termasiana is closely related to E. capronata , but E. termasiana has the terminal part of the uncus large and tapering apicad; a long, slender terminal processes of the gnathos arms; an indistinct postbasal angle of the sacculus; a broad terminal part of the sacculus; a long, slender aedeagus; and a shorter antrum.

Description. Wing span ca. 19 mm. Head brown, frons brownish cream, labial palpus brown, ca. 2.5 times horizontal diameter of compound eye. Thorax pale brown. Forewing as in chiribogana . Ground colour cream, lightly mixed with brown, strigulated and dotted with brown; markings consisting of broad oblique postmedian interfascia and weaker marks in distal third of wing; a brown marking, darkest before median interfascia, indicated by a black stripe in median cell; markings of posterior third of wing slender. Cilia concolorous with ground colour, with brown divisions. Hindwing cream, whiter in basal part, tinged with pale ochreous in apical portion, strigulation grey. Cilia cream.

Male genitalia ( Figs. 14 View FIGURES 11 – 14 a, 14b). Uncus large, broadest subterminally, pointed apically; terminal portion of lateral arms of gnathos in form of a slender processes; valva slender, broadest at end of sacculus; sacculus weakly angulate postbasally with indistinct ventral concavity and broad, free termination spined ventrally; aedeagus long, slender; cornuti two large sclerites and numerous minute thorns.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 20 View FIGURES 18 – 21 ). Sterigma large with broad lateral parts; sclerite of antrum large, rather weakly sclerotized; ductus bursae slenderer than antrum.

Holotype male: “ Ecuador, Prov. Napo, Papallacta, Las Termas, 19.01.2004, 3650 m, leg. Wojtusiak & Pyrcz”, GS 281 (MZUJ).

Paratypes: 3 females: same data as holotype, GS 300, 308, 317 (MZUJ).
