Diagnosis. This species can be distinguished from its congeners by the unique characters in the male genitalia. Its gnathos is armed with tiny dentations on the dorsal surface of the distal two thirds, and bears a downcurved apical hook; the costa with an ancipital basal prong, reaching about two thirds of valva, with another small triangular protuberance at two thirds.

Description. Adult ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 2 – 10 ). Forewing length 5.0– 5.5 mm. Frons and vertex pale brown mixed with white. Labial palpus gray on outer side, third segment pale brown distally; white on inner side. Maxillary palpus grayish, white distally. Antenna with dorsal surface white and blackish brown alternately, ventral surface pale yellow ciliated white. Patagium and thorax white. Tegula pale brown, posteriorly with long white scales. Forewing sparsely covered with pale brown and pale yellow scales; basal line pale brown, outcurved slightly; antemedian line white, conspicuously outcurved medially, outside lined with blackish brown; reniform stigma pale yellow edged with blackish brown, nearly crescent; postmedian line yellowish white, edged with blackish brown, dentate, outcurved medially; apex orange yellow, with stripelike silvery gray apical mark; termen orange yellow, with one black marginal spot; fringe pale brown, with white basal line distinct apically. Hindwing white, termen pale brown; fringe pale brown with white medial line. Abdomen with first and second segments pale brown, third to fifth segments yellowish white and each with paired short brown stripes dorsally, remaining segment blackish brown except pale yellow genital segment.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 11 – 16 ). Uncus slender, downcurved slightly, narrowed to pointed apex. Gnathos nearly as long as uncus, upcurved slightly, convex ventrally at middle, distal two thirds armed with tiny dentations on dorsal surface, with downcurved apical hook. Valva broad basally, narrowed to rounded apex. Costa with an ancipital basal prong armed with many tiny dentations, about two thirds as long as valva; with a small triangular protuberance arising from two thirds. Juxta oblong, posterior one third incised in V shape, forming a pair of narrow triangular posterolateral lobes. Phallus straight, about 1.2 times length of valva; cornuti consisting of four to eight thorns.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 22 View FIGURES 20 – 22 ). Papilla analis ovate, about half length of apophysis posterioris. Tergite eight as long as apophysis anterioris. Antrum short funnel-shaped. Ductus bursae long and thin. Ductus seminalis arising from between ductus bursae and corpus bursae. Corpus bursae ovate; signum rounded, placed at posterior one third of corpus bursae.

Distribution. China (Fujian, Guangxi, Hainan, Hong Kong, Yunnan).

Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin siciformis = ancipital, in reference to the shape of the basal prong of costa in the male genitalia.
