Material examined. Known only from type material; examined through original description and holotype images.

Known distribution. Venezuela (coastal cordillera).

Diagnosis and remarks. See the morphological comments on this species in the section of H. palmichale . Heteragrion archon was assessed as CR by the IUCN Red List, as “recent visits to its type locality and similar habitats in the surrounding region have failed to find this species, which is threatened by tourism and fires” ( Vivas-Santeliz et al. 2021a). We hope that additional surveys are conducted within the type locality and the adjacent areas to assess the present conservation status of the species.
