Remarks. On 2 March 2021, an adult Hydrosaurus amboinensis was seen at a construction site along Mandai Lake Road. This species is native to the Molucca Islands in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea (Koch 2012), but is common in the pet trade. It is likely the specimen was abandoned by its owner.
